Art - Education - Cultural Activities

For over 25 years I have worked with educators on a variety of programs, some funded through successful grant proposals. These projects involvied fine arts, cultural heritage and conservation education, public safety and economic development. I also conducted community outreach through the media and through public meetings and workshops.

Among our accomplishments, we promoted recycling, improved natural science and conservation education, added innovative classroom material, and brought extended day Kindergarten programs to Auburn, CA, elementary schools.

Arts & Culture:

Collaborated to produce Placer County Farm and Barn Tours

Served on the Board of Placer County Visitors Council

Project Manager for interactive displays at Knights Ferry Visitor Center and Lake Sonoma Interpretive Center (US Army corps of Engineers)

Managed educational exhibit projects for the California Department of Agriculture and the California State Fair

Project Manager for the California Tourism and Trade Pavilion installed at the Los Angeles Olympics

Educator:

Instructor in graphic design and desktop publishing at Sierra Community College

Taught art and mural painting at the elementary, middle and high school levels

Advisor in curriculum development, designing forms and reporting media

Developed classroom materials and thematic displays

Led mural art program at Placer Adult School

Provided hands-on creative activities for developmentally disabled adults through Auburn Area Recreation District
