Conservation & Fire Safe Communities

In November 2002, I was selected as the first Executive Coordinator of the Placer County Fire Safe Alliance, where I expanded the successful Placer County Chipper program and funded fire safety inspections for homeowners. We set a precedent in California, publishing Fire Safe information in regional telephone directories. We also published a booklet on Forestry and Sierra Nevada natural resource issues, which was distributed as a newspaper insert to over 50,000 households in Placer County.
